At Buckeye, we pride ourselves in having a unique culture where every employee makes a difference. Since opening in 1933, we have maintained our commitment to continuous improvement; for our employees, our members, and the communities where we operate.
Our commitment is the foundation for how we champion our employees. By supporting and challenging our employees to increase their knowledge, skills, and capabilities through all phases of their careers, an environment of growth is created for our people and our credit union.

They begin their journey learning about Buckeye’s history and continue with customized in-person training and videos specific to their responsibilities. Our training is built to give our employees the skills they need to be successful, and for our managers to lead teams and grow and develop our employees.
Our Performance Evaluations include annual manager evaluations, annual self-evaluations, and monthly coaching to ensure progress is being made to achieve goals, discuss improvements that need to be made, and other accomplishments regarding the annual evaluations.

The Purpose of Our Work
“Building financial security together.”
Here at Buckeye, the commitment to our members goes beyond saving them money, opening accounts, and cashing paychecks. We don’t want to just be the “place you go to get a loan.” We want:
To educate our members on how to manage their money, live within their means, save for their future, and plan for retirement.
To be the place you come to understand what getting a loan means to your financial well-being AND to get a loan for your car, your house, debt consolidation, your kid’s first car, their home, etc.
Our members to be confident in our products and services so they will recommend us to their friends and family.
To help our members build financial security together today, tomorrow, and in the future.
