At Buckeye, we pride ourselves in having a unique culture where every employee makes a difference. Since opening in 1933, we have maintained our commitment to continuous improvement; for our employees, our members, and the communities where we operate.

Training and performance programs are created for each role and potential career paths for our employees. They begin their journey learning about Buckeye’s history and continue with customized in-person training and videos specific to their responsibilities. Our training is built to give our employees the skills they need to be successful, and for our managers to lead teams and grow and develop our employees.

Our Performance Evaluations include annual manager evaluations, annual self-evaluations, and monthly coaching to ensure progress is being made to achieve goals, discuss improvements that need to be made, and other accomplishments regarding the annual evaluations.

Holidays

11 paid holidays each year: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Juneteenth, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Half days provided for Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.

Medical, Dental, Vision and Rx

A comprehensive health, dental and vision care plan. Dental and Vision are also available for part-time employees.

Employees may contribute, on a tax-deferred basis, to their 401(k) retirement program. Buckeye State Credit Union provides a generous matching contribution.

Disability Insurance

Buckeye State Credit Union offers short term disability insurance at no cost to all employees that work an average of 25+ hours per week.

Profit Sharing

Generous annual Profit-Sharing program, for every employee, full- and part-time. The amount of payout is based on how the credit union does as a whole, encouraging employees to work together to ensure success.

Health Savings Account

Generous employer contribution with terms. Employees may also contribute to their account. This account may be used for medical expenses, and employees can carry over balances year to year.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Employees, both full and part-time, accrue generous time off benefits based upon service time after their first 90 days of employment. PTO is available for employees to use after their first 90 days of employment.

Buckeye State Credit Union offers all employees life and AD & D Insurance in the amount of their annual salary at no cost to the employee.
